Job summary: Develop and create MB SPACE designs based on restaurant demand data using integrated merchandising/space planning software. To manage and optimise new and existing restaurant chambers space by creating SPACE design solutions that reflect the agreed planning principles. To drive profitability through cost effective and optimised SPACE design solutions that mitigate and remove delivery requirements. Major duties & responsibilities: Design and development of required zoning and planograms that deliver the MB SPACE principles for new and existing restaurants Liaise and communicate with all key project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of right first time designs Seek opportunities to maximise the potential of every scheme within agree principles and cost Develop a planning standards model that documents and illustrates best in class designs and pressure tests the status quo Develop a deep understanding of the space, equipment and function of each chamber to ensure you are the subject matter expert Stress test all data to ensure schemes are fit for purpose and future proofed leading to optimised delivery schedules Assess ROI opportunities for delivery optimisation - is the benefit greater than the cost Ensure all schemes are health and safety compliant and meet all of the client’s operational needs Maintain product database to ensure 100% product accuracy including weight and dimensions Creation and maintenance of site space and capacity database to ensure that each site is being reviewed and upgraded inline with business requirements Build strong and robust relationships with key team members within RSP, TECH and RSM community to generate an aligned approach to space management Key stakeholders, interaction and engagement Field - Restaurant operations teams Field - Franchisees Central - Service, RSP, Scheduling, Strategy External - MCD construction External - fixture suppliers Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience: Formal qualification in AutoCAD or similar technical drawing experience 3 years experience in design and drafting of macro and micro space plans Competent in the use of all systems required to format and deliver accurate site specific design packs Understanding of site characteristic and challenges Understanding and knowledge of use and assembly of merchandising fixtures and fittings Knowledge of site operations Personal attributes: Organised and disciplined with experience of managing multiple workstreams and projects simultaneously Excellent planning skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task Time driven and focused in order to maximise productivity and deliverables Excellent attention to detail Able to manage business sensitivity recognising that restaurant priorities are not always aligned with MB priorities Solution orientated, able to adapt a plan or adjust decisions quickly and reactively Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills Confident and comfortable to challenge the status quo and question whether changes should be developed and implemented Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation Operates with integrity and professionalism Effective and persuasive presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business.
