ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the UK Projects & Supply Chain Finance Controller, the Assistant Finance Business Partner will become an integral part of a dynamic and growing team of dedicated Finance professionals. Together, we are committed to supporting a wide range of business stakeholders in managing costs and driving financial planning, while fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support.
As a valued member of our team, you'll play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process, engaging with diverse stakeholders across the business. By building strong relationships with operational teams, you'll bring valuable insights and context to financial reporting. You'll also partner closely with the Financial Control team, contributing to seamless period-end activities, audit processes, and asset management.
This role offers exciting opportunities for growth and development, including contributing to the implementation of the next phase of our ERP system and the rollout of EVM as a project control methodology. You'll work alongside and learn from teams such as Manufacturing Operations, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, and Capital Projects, while collaborating with Treasury, Procurement, Legal, and Corporate functions.

* Demonstrates an understanding that business partnering goes beyond merely preparing reports or managing financials. Unprompted indication that they understand the 'so what' concept - i.e. how does the financial information support business decisions, what is it telling us in terms of risk, opportunity, trends, how can we prompt change in the business as a result of the financials, how do we ensure this information contributes to the overall business success.
* A focus on governance and control - when we are driving decisions, ensuring these are well governed and documented. A strong understanding of cost control, spend, and budget management will be needed. Even better if in a project/scaling environment.
* Ability to deliver difficult messages whilst maintaining relationships and trust with the business.

* Experience in Finance Business Partnering.
* Ability to work well with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

* A can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a demanding fast-paced environment.
Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications
Qualified Finance Professional, or exam finalist.
