Position: Demand Planning Manager

This is a great opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager to join an established food manufacturer in Kent. This is a newly created role due to the company’s continued growth and will take control of their demand planning function.
You’ll be responsible for proposing & implementing solutions to improve forecast accuracy by analysing historical data, market trends, customer information & commercial insights. Build both Long term and short term forecasts to ensure product availability
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the Supply Planner & Supply Chain administrator
2. Take the lead on forecasting in conjunction with the Commercial Team. Hold regular reviews & analyse data accordingly
3. Interface with customer planning functions to obtain data to assist with building forecasts and relationships.
4. Ensure compliance in line with HMRC regulations for all Supply Chain transactions
5. Use Budget/Forecast data to regularly review site capacity
6. Build & maintain a 12 month rolling forecast
7. Help drive continuous improvement both within the Supply Chain Team & wider business
8. Good understanding of the S&OP process
9. Manage obsolete & slow moving stock to mitigate potential write offs
Experience
10. Proven experience in Demand Planning role ideally food/drink/fmcg
11. Strong understanding of end to end Supply Chain
12. Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to build strong internal & external relationships
13. Good Commercial & Finance understanding
14. Highly proficient in Excel
15. Experience of Managing or supervising a small team
