What you will do in your working day
This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious candidate with a desire to forge a career in manufacturing, providing excellent opportunities for future progression into management and or technical roles within the company. The apprentice will be given a chance to move around the different departments in the company, gaining an understanding of the business as a whole. You will work your way around the factory, experiencing all aspects of the process of manufacturing circuit boards, including mechanical processes, printing processes and chemical processes, to give you knowledge of the product from design through to completion. Once you have built up your practical skills and knowledge, you may be given experience of the support systems within the business, such as sales, quality, maintenance and supply, with the aim of giving you an appreciation of the entire process, from supply chain, through manufacture to customer relations.
The training you will be getting
You will attend Exeter College 2 days a week during term time.
You will work towards:
* Level 2 Diploma in engineering operations (skills)
* Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge)
* Functional skills if needed
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity for you to progress onto the Level 3, or become a full-time staff member.
