About Us: Decron Safety Netting is a reputable provider of safety netting solutions for the construction industry. With a commitment to ensuring the highest safety standards on construction sites, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Safety Netting team as a Yard Person and occasional Driver (where required).
Responsibilities:
1. Yard Management: Organise and maintain the safety netting yard, ensuring all materials and equipment are organised and easily accessible.
2. Material Handling: Assist in the loading and unloading of safety netting materials and equipment for transportation to and from construction sites.
3. Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of safety netting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order, reporting any issues to the supervisor. Repair and maintenance of damaged safety netting equipment.
4. Inventory Control: Keep track of inventory levels, reorder supplies as needed, and maintain accurate records of all materials in the yard.
5. Support Installation Teams: Provide on-site support to installation teams by delivering and retrieving safety netting materials as required.
6. Yard Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the yard, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
7. Driving: You will hold a full driving licence and will be responsible for delivery of materials to and from site (as and when required).
Requirements:
1. Physical Fitness: Ability to handle and lift heavy materials, work outdoors, and perform physically demanding tasks.
2. Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage and maintain an efficient yard layout and inventory system.
3. Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with installation teams and other yard personnel and management team members.
4. Basic Construction Knowledge: Some understanding of construction processes is advantageous.
5. Punctuality: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
