Summary:
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing staff in a healthcare facility. They ensure that all nursing staff are providing high-quality care to patients and are following all policies and procedures. The Nursing Supervisor also manages staffing levels, schedules, and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
2. Ensure that all nursing staff are following policies and procedures and providing high-quality care to patients
3. Manage staffing levels, schedules, and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes and make recommendations for improvement
6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees
8. Provide leadership and support to nursing staff
Requirements:
9. Current RN license in the state of Connecticut
10. Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
11. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
12. Strong leadership and communication skills
13. Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
14. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards of practice
15. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
