After doubling turnover in the last 2 years to circa £80m, they are now in a phase of strategic expansion and innovation, looking to elevate their data capabilities to support future growth, drive innovation, and attract potential investors. The company boasts a strong, collaborative, and fast-paced culture, which encourages bold thinking and entrepreneurial spirit. While their headquarters are in Central London, they are open to considering candidates from a variety of locations especially those with a track record of driving scalable data strategies in high-growth environments and also operate on a flexible hybrid working system. The Role As the Chief Data Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy to drive business transformation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be empowered to define and implement the right data technology stack and governance framework to accelerate the company's transition to a truly data-driven business. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement an innovative data strategy and to lead the data transformation across the organization. The ideal candidate will be action-oriented, decisive, and comfortable creating and leading complex data initiatives. You will be a champion for data-centric decision-making, collaborating with senior leadership to leverage data for strategic advantage while ensuring compliance and data governance are at the forefront. You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring the Head of Data and Analytics Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to enable the company to scale, ensuring data is harnessed effectively across the organization. Lead the design and implementation of a master data governance framework to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance. Establish and govern a company-wide data roadmap, focusing on data management, analytics, and process optimization. Lead and oversee the implementation of advanced data analytics models, including predictive and propensity models to optimize customer journeys and enhance personalization. Implement a data quality framework that sets standards and metrics for accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and completeness of all data assets. Guide the company through GDPR compliance and ensure strong data governance across all departments. Lead and mentor existing data teams and build strong partnerships with stakeholders across the business. Ensure robust regulatory compliance across all aspects of data governance and management. Essential Skills Proven experience in data management, including working with data lakes, data warehouses, and data modeling. Deep understanding of data governance, regulatory compliance, and best practices in data quality management. Proven leadership experience, with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams. Ability to influence and communicate complex data strategies to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Preferred Skills Experience within Fintech, financial services, or direct-to-consumer business models is highly desirable.
