Job Title: Business Support Officer (Maternity Cover - 10 Months)
Are you an organised and adaptable individual with excellent communication and IT skills? We're looking for a Business Support Officer to join our team on a 10-month maternity cover contract.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of essential community services. You'll be based on-site and work closely with internal teams, professionals, and service users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the Meals on Wheels service, ensuring quality delivery and escalating any safeguarding or client concerns promptly.
2. Assess Blue Badge applications in line with national eligibility guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
3. Manage room bookings and safety checks at the Inclusion Centre, including routine tests for the hydrotherapy pool.
4. Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, care professionals, and service teams.
5. Support general business admin duties including data entry, reporting, and processing enquiries.
What We're Looking For:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Strong IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office.
3. Ability to work independently, handle sensitive issues with discretion, and manage varied workloads.
4. A flexible and proactive approach with a keen eye for detail.
5. Previous experience in a support, administrative, or customer-facing role is desirable.
Additional Information:
1. This is an on-site role (no remote working available).
2. Occasional weekend availability required and the hours will be 4 hours per day.
