IT Contract and Commercial Manager Lead Location: London, York, Norwich Salary: up to £ 85,000 (national), up to £ 95,000 (London) Are you an experienced Contract and Commercial Manager who would be interested in working in one of the most dynamic and exciting teams of Aviva? This is a great job for someone with relevant experience and a proven track record in Contract, Commercial and Supplier Relationship Management for materially outsourced, critical supplier contracts in a regulated environment, preferably Financial Services. The focus of the role will be IT and so direct experience in IT contracts would be beneficial but is not essential. You will be accountable for leading, and supporting the personal development of, a team who have responsibility for managing Aviva's key third party IT suppliers. The focus of the team is ensuring we deliver value from our supplier relationships as well as third party risk management and oversight. This includes managing both the contracts and the overall relationship with suppliers to mitigate risk, improve supplier performance, maintain contractual governance and to maximise commercial and business value. This role provides a great opportunity to join, and help further develop, a team dedicated to providing a centre of excellence in contract and commercial management across Aviva. A bit about the job: The purpose of the role is lead a team dedicated to managing governance in line with best practise and in accordance with defined policy and standards as well as supporting colleagues in IT and third-party performance management roles. You'll apply appropriate commercial, contractual, and supplier relationship management skills, tools and techniques, to lead by example, in order to ensure the effectiveness of supplier relationships to meet and exceed contractual obligations. You will lead the team to drive value for money through the identification and delivery of savings and value protection, drive performance by optimising the appropriate contractual levers, mitigate and manage supply risk, and support the management of performance with IT and track benefit delivery to Aviva. You will ensure the team deliver these through supporting the development and delivery of Supplier Relationship Management strategies to ensure collaboration and drive additional opportunities where identified, combining market intelligence with a deep understanding of existing supplier arrangements and business requirements to maximise value, and supporting and leading commercial negotiations including work order and contract variation approvals. You will work closely with business colleagues and procurement to create fit-for-purpose contracts, manage contract and commercial risk and support disputes, breaches and exits, while utilising appropriate processes, systems, controls and governance mechanisms to ensure both Aviva and supplier adherence to contract obligations. Reporting to, and supported by, the Head of IT Contract Management, you will take personal responsibility and accountability for suppliers within your scope and will lead and act as a subject matter expert and role model demonstrating Aviva Values to the benefit of the Aviva Group. Skills and experience we're looking for: Strong experience of Contract and Commercial Management for complex and critical IT agreements in a regulated environment, preferably Financial Services Builds partnership roles with Aviva stakeholders e.g. IT, Risk, Operational Resilience to ensure the contracts are operationalised and managed in line with our polices and business needs Proven leader with experience in developing and supporting a team Commercial and stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of building strong internal business and supplier relationships at all levels. Strong negotiation skills, being able to demonstrate experience of supporting, leading and managing negotiations for complex IT agreements.
