Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for accepting and sorting deliveries, delivering items into the kitchen areas as and when required and undertaking stock control. This position also includes washing-up duties and assisting with all catering activities, including front of house, as and when required. Responsibilities Unload food and equipment deliveries Ensure all delivery records and documents are completed daily To ensure that goods & supplies are delivered to the kitchen areas as required Ensure that goods and supplies are stored correctly using stock rotation Keeping the storerooms in an organised and tidy manner To assist the Executive Chef in ensuring that all catering activities meet legislative standards, particularly those relating to Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH To undertake washing duties, particularly of kitchen pots and pans as requested ensuring cleaning tasks are carried out as quickly as possible To carry out weekly and termly deep cleaning duties as required All roles within the school carry the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Person Specification Educated to GCSE standard, particularly in English and Maths Excellent organisational skills Good prioritising skills Flexibility Ability to interpret and relay information Appointed first aider [desirable, but not essential] Join us as a Kitchen Porter and be part of an exciting culinary journey Benefits: Company pension Cycle to work scheme Free parking On-site parking Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
