A great opportunity has arisen for an individual to begin a career in IT support for a Global corporation. You will work within a certified IT team to provide excellent levels of support across the business. From hardware setup, onboarding, and troubleshooting, you will be mentored in resolving common issues experienced within an IT environment.
Annual wage: £14,723 a year. The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.
Training course: Information communications technician
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday, 8.00am - 1.30pm. 37.5 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will have the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced colleagues on IT projects as well as be given encouragement to explore the areas of IT which interest you the most within a supportive environment.
Your tasks will include:
* Provide the first port of call for issues raised by users concerning IT hardware and connectivity – working with other team members as necessary to diagnose and resolve faults
* Create end user accounts in line with company policies and procedures
* Document all resolutions within helpdesk
* Document any revised or new procedures working with other team members
* Communicate all resolutions promptly and effectively and always provide a high level of customer service
* Assist the Security & Infrastructure lead in projects and new system setups
* Setting up new hardware e.g. Laptops and Desktop computers
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Your training plan
* This training programme is completed via an Apprenticeship Standard at level 3 and learners will achieve a Pearson Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification
* Apprentices without Level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End Point Assessment
* Regular training contact will support the learner to develop the occupation standard’s knowledge, skills, and behaviours. The learner will build a portfolio of evidence based on real work projects

Essential qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4 and above) essential
Desired qualifications
* Other IT Qualification (Grade BTEC, GCSE, NVQ) desirable
