Description
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Ashburton team as our Workshop Technician, working on a variety of new & second-hand motorhomes & caravans. You don’t need industry experience; ongoing training and development will be provided so join us in an amazing industry, working on modern vehicles, installing all kinds of upgrades and meeting some great people.
Currently we are the NZ agents for two motorhome brands, Auto-Trail out of the UK and Rollerteam out of Italy. Both brands are well received in the NZ market thanks to their quality and continual innovation. Nationwide RV is a family-owned business that strives to do all it can to support our valued customers to ensure they have the best possible experience in their chosen RV.
As the Ashburton Technician, you will be responsible for all pre-delivery work, annual inspections, warranty work, installation of upgrades, and much more. With a strong background in the Mechanical, Auto Electrical, or Panel Beating trades combined with an eye for detail and high standard of workmanship, you will seamlessly fit into the RV industry. There will be opportunities to learn other trades to broaden your skill set and allow you to thrive in this amazing lifestyle industry.
This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The wage package for this position will be based on the skill set the individual brings to the role. Those who show that they are fast learners, have an interest in the industry, and can contribute to the performance of their team in a positive way can do well.
Minimum Requirements
* Automotive Industry experience in either Mechanical, Auto Electrical, or Panel Beating
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities
* Provide exceptional customer service and technical advice
* Fast learner, excellent time management, and a high standard of workmanship
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of NZ Health and Safety regulations
* Current Class 1 Driver’s license
* Flexible team player, able to work collaboratively with a wider team
Additional Skills and Interests (Advantageous)
* 230V electrical
* Gas regulations
* Interest in technology
* Building and joinery
* Plumbing
* NZ vehicle compliance
* First Aid Certification
* Passion for the outdoors, camping, and the RV industry
