Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. As the backbone of engineering operations, the engineering Admin officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the seamless flow of the workplace. The responsibilities include meticulous overview of the role: administration tasks, working with the CMS system, time, and attendance for engineering department, and purchasing duties.
Ideal candidates will possess a keen eye for detail and a knack for organisation, ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled with the utmost efficiency. Experience in similar roles will be advantageous, showcasing an ability to adapt and thrive in an engineering environment.
* Stock control development using Pirana CMMS
* Building and organising physical stocks as laid out in Pirana CMMS
* Ensure bins and racks are properly labelled with reference to CMMS stock list
* Procurement of equipment critical spares as oem recommended
* Ability to negotiate with vendors for spare part cost reduction
* Procurement of engineers’ tools and equipment as required
* Ability to search for alternative product supplier for cost reduction without compromising quality
* Sourcing non-stock emergency spare parts
* Alignment with planner and engineers to ensure parts are available for scheduled works
* Periodic inventory stock taking and reporting
* Maintain stores housekeeping to a high standard
Qualifications:
* Communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
* IT skills and knowledge of CMMS software
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to recognise opportunities for process improvement
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ideally with engineering background
