Job overview
A full-time opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Clinical Quality and Nursing Team on a permanent basis.
The post holder will be responsible for providing and coordinating administrative and secretarial services for the acute provider work stream.
The role is currently a hybrid working model with up to 2 days a week working from either the Scarsdale or Council House Derby.
Main duties of the job
The role will include tasks such as:
1. Meeting preparation i.e. diary planning, preparation of agendas and minute taking;
2. Supporting the team with the management of projects; gathering information and undertaking enquiries;
3. Providing general support to the team;
4. Setting up and maintaining filing systems and liaising with internal and external people of all levels.
You should have good interpersonal and computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
You will be encouraged to bring creativity to the role, and in return, you will be given the opportunity to develop your administration and coordination skills within a highly motivated, professional and friendly team.
This post has been mainly based at Scarsdale Hospital in Chesterfield with a requirement to travel independently across the county and occasionally beyond.

Knowledge and Training
* Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience;
* Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access;
* Significant administrative/secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems;
* Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act;
* Knowledge of NHS issues;
* Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information;
Communication Skills
* Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry, and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/instructions to staff and service users;
