Portering Manager

Salary: £38,000 to £40,000
Insight Executive are supporting the recruitment of a Portering Manager to work on a large Healthcare site in Oxford. The role of Portering Manager is to lead a high quality, timely, responsive, cost-effective and proactive portering service at a fast-paced and busy hospital.
Duties of the role:
1. Deploy a team of employees, assessing workload schedules and allocating resources as required whilst prioritising urgent requests and remaining within labour budgets.
2. Take full responsibility for Health and Safety.
3. Control and issue all portering equipment and materials within budget limits.
4. Oversee the reporting of maintenance defects of portering equipment and materials, according to set procedures.
5. Assist in implementing portering policies to agreed standards.
6. Assist in the assessment of costs associated with any ad-hoc work requested ensuring an efficient and cost-effective service.
7. Undertake the completion of an appropriate quality audit system on a quarterly basis and compile an action plan.
8. Build and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients and other departmental supervisors.
9. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are monitored, measured and managed.
The ideal person:
1. Good Health & Safety Knowledge - ideally IOSH Managing Safely.
2. Good working knowledge of Concept Evolution CAFM System.
3. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Portering management processes.
4. Good quality management and audit skills.
5. Excellent experience of coordinating planned and reactive activities.
6. Knowledge of legislation and technical standards.
