Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Working Pattern: Dynamic hybrid working – 2 days per week on-site

Your Role
As SOC Manager, you’ll report directly to the Head of Cyber Security Services and CERT while collaborating with key stakeholders, including the UK CISO, InfoSec Managers, and various IT suppliers. Your primary focus will be on:
* Ensuring the delivery and resilience of 24/7 threat detection capabilities.
* Driving continuous improvement and maturity within the SOC.
* Collaborating closely with the Incident Response team to protect critical commercial networks, including overseas operations.

What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience managing or leading a SOC team, ideally in the defence, manufacturing, or engineering sectors.
* Expertise in key areas such as authentication, endpoint security, firewalls, SIEM technologies (e.g., Splunk ES, LogRhythm, or QRadar), and SOC advancements like EDR and SOAR.
* Strong understanding of security policies based on industry standards and best practices.
* Hands-on experience with SOC automation, regulatory compliance, and cloud operations (e.g., AWS).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with varied audiences, including senior executives.
* A proactive approach to incident management and the development of incident response processes.
