We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our Children’s Community Service as a Team Lead. This full-time, permanent position is based in Milton Keynes and offers the chance to be part of a small, supportive team while making a real difference to children and families in the community.
Main duties of the job
In this key role, you will support the Service Manager in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to children with a variety of complex needs. As Team Lead, you will oversee a small team of Occupational Therapists, offering clinical guidance, supervision, and mentorship. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the Service Manager, assisting with team coordination, performance monitoring, and service development.

Essential criteria
* BSc in OT
* HCPC Registration
* Member of RCOT
* Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
* MA level qualification
* Management / Leadership Training
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant experience as a registered qualified Paediatric OT
* Experience of staff & student supervision
* Experience in ND, PD and associated equipment and adaptation assessments, prescription/referrals.
* Experience of staff supervision and management
* Experience of student supervision
* Experience of receiving and communicating complex information which may be contentious and sensitive
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
* Knowledge of assessment tools, equipment, adaptation
* Knowledge of national policies, clinical governance and procedures
* Knowledge of range of appropriate interventions, other professionals' roles
* High level of organisation, motivation, working with others, flexible approach
