White Horse Employment are working closely with a services provider based in Chippenham who have a fantastic local reputation. We are assisting them with their search for a detail oriented Senior Finance Assistant to join the small dynamic finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven experience across transactional finance in fast-paced environments who is looking for a role with lots of variety and they can make it their own.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and manage supplier accounts
* Upload and maintain supplier invoices in the accounts system
* Process timely payments to suppliers
* Post daily cash transactions and assist with bank reconciliations
* Conduct credit checks on potential clients
* Set up new client accounts in Xero and verify details with our recruitment software
* Manage credit control activities, including sending reminders and making collection calls
* Reconcile third-party vendor accounts and sales ledger, and issue sales invoices
* Assist in reconciling weekly payroll reports and upload payroll reports to the bank and process expense payments for salaried staff
* Assist in month-end reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments
Skills and Experience Required:
* Strong understanding of purchase ledger and credit control processes
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
* Previous payroll experience is beneficial
