New Resource Recruitment is excited to be working with a Dorset based business who is a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, to find a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the facilities and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise contractors, working closely with the Facilities Manager and the Engineering team.
2. Plan and deliver both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure seamless operations.
3. Maintain and repair facilities equipment while adhering to GMP standards and safety protocols.
4. Assist in delivering engineering projects and help drive innovation and improvements in the department.
5. Ensure all maintenance activities are logged accurately using the company's systems (Epicor).
6. Support procurement by assisting with parts and materials and help manage the engineering inventory.
What You'll Need:
1. Proven experience in building maintenance or an engineering discipline, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
2. Basic IT literacy and strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and contractors.
3. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and GMP/BRC standards (experience in food manufacturing preferred).
4. Advantageous: Experience managing contractors and qualifications such as IOSH.
