Your mission
In this position, you work closely with the VP Global Sales & Marketing in your mission to support our growth agenda and ensure correct business decisions based on transparent information and proactive control. Working with the Sales & Marketing Management Team and our Finance function, you promote agility and confidently challenge and develop our ways of working. With the financial perspective on operational issues and commitment to a business mindset, you use your expertise to back key decisions with fact-based analyses and simulations. Actively driving strong performance management across our operations is vital, and you ensure a structured way of identifying improvement potential, agreeing upon activities and following up on results. As a Global Business Controller, you are responsible for ensuring that the financial performance of Dormer Pramet Sales is presented in a clear and understandable way, allowing senior management to take the right decisions to achieve the financial and operational targets of the division. Naturally, managing costs, investments, sales estimates and future spending's are part of your everyday work, and you take the lead in the monthly closing, sales analysis and comments, cost analysis and business planning to name a few. As we operate across the globe local recipes and cultural differences are natural parts to manage in this role. You will work closely with both our Sales Areas Controllers as well as with the Sales Area leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Consolidate our monthly and quarterly financial reporting as well as our quarterly forecasts.
2. Ensure quality in the reporting and forecasting of our units.
3. Work and lead our Business Control network in Sales to communicate and develop our reporting and business performance processes as well as upcoming needs.
4. Ensure a good analysis of our profitability development together with key stakeholders.
5. Develop Finance Reports in PowerBi together with our Analytics team; creating KPI dashboards to monitor sales & marketing performance.
6. Coordinate and when needed lead major investments and business cases in close cooperation with the relevant functional leaders.
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role, you have a degree in Finance or Business Administration, and a comprehensive experience from senior financial positions. It is an advantage if you have worked with finance in a sales environment before, and gained hands-on experience. You have a curiosity for business, understanding what is behind the numbers, and are also able to build various business scenarios. When it comes to tools and systems, you are skilled in Excel, PowerPoint and know ERP systems, consolidation systems and interfaces well. An advantage but no requirement is knowledge of SAP, OneStream and PowerBI. To have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines especially during financial closings is of the utmost importance. You are skilled in prioritizing and judging when to apply your sense of quality and details and when to deliver “good enough”, and when encountering topics to solve, you have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. We believe you are at ease working in a global organization, with stakeholders from diverse functional as well as geographical and cultural areas and you are comfortable in a matrix setup. Being a team player is also an important skill in succeeding in this role. As we navigate in a global setting, moderate travel is expected for this role.
