As the team's second UX/UI designer, you will report to the Director of Product Experience. You will work closely with our lead designer and researcher to help shape and define the team and discipline from the ground up. You will be responsible for all aspects of software design as it pertains to our SaaS products and embedded systems. You will have the scope and freedom to influence and leave your mark not only on the products we design but also on how we operate within the organization. You won't be alone on this journey-you will have the support of your team and senior leadership. In Your Role, You Will: - Work at all stages of the research and design process, from early discovery to design validation and implementation. - Craft intuitive and visually captivating user interfaces that elevate our SaaS products and embedded systems. - Deeply understand our customers and users-their workflows, jobs, pain points, and desired gains. - Help shape the discipline of the Product Experience team at Videojet from the ground up. - Evangelize holistic experience design (hardware, software, and research) within the business, with opportunities to apply your skillset across both software and hardware. - Collaborate with the lead user researcher to plan, facilitate, and analyze global research activities. - Define best-in-class tools and processes to ensure we design and develop solutions that solve customer problems quickly and reliably. - Turn research findings into compelling design propositions with varying levels of fidelity, from wireframes to clickable prototypes. Your Education and Skills Will Include: - Experience : 2-4 years of UX/UI design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and ability to solve complex user problems - UX Skills : A strong understanding of user-centered design principles, including wireframing, prototyping, user flows, and information architecture - UI Design Skills : Proficiency in creating visually appealing and functional interfaces with attention to detail. Experience with design systems is a plus - Tools : Proficiency with design tools such as Figma or similar. Familiarity with prototyping and collaboration tools (e.g., Miro) is a plus - Collaboration : Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present design solutions effectively to stakeholders.
