We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader in operational finance to lead our Finance department's service delivery functions, including the Accounts Payable, Income, and Money Management Service teams. In this pivotal role, you will provide robust control of supplier payments, income collection, and financial support to learners, while also raising the profile of the Finance department through exceptional service delivery. You will be responsible for reviewing, developing, and updating policies and procedures to ensure they are current, compliant with legislation, and aligned with best practices.
You will work closely with various stakeholders, including the College's Executive team, auditors, and funding agencies, to support the College's strategic objectives. Your ability to influence colleagues, drive efficiency, and implement innovative solutions will be key to your success in this role.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Lead the Accounts Payable, Income, and Money Management Service teams, ensuring alignment with College goals.
* Develop and implement comprehensive debt control strategies for student and non-student debts.
* Collaborate with income-generating departments to maintain current and effective contracts and service level agreements.
* Design and enforce robust counter-fraud measures within all finance operational areas.
* Lead the College’s adherence to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), ensuring full compliance.
* Compile and present monthly financial operational reports, key performance indicators, and relevant data for executive review.
* Ensure financial policies and procedures are well-communicated, streamlined, and effectively serve their intended purposes.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in all aspects of financial control and compliance.
* Knowledge and experience of education, funding rules, and regulations.
* Experience in report, policy, and procedure writing.
* CCAB qualified accountant or equivalent.
