In this hands-on role as Tech Support, you’ll be the go-to tech specialist, supporting clients with advanced technical issues, testing new solutions, and helping to shape internal processes. Your key responsibilities will include: Client support: Provide expert remote and on-site technical support to clients, resolving complex hardware and software issues. Solution development: Build and test lab environments, demonstrating proof-of-concept solutions to secure new business opportunities. Hardware & systems: Install, configure, and repair data storage hardware, including tape libraries and optical solutions. Process improvement: Collaborate with the Director to refine support processes and train future team members. Integration & networking: Support solutions across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux) and ensure seamless network integration. As the Tech Support you will receive: ?? Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and handle challenges under pressure. A valid UK driving licence and own transport (due to the location). Willingness to undergo police vetting for security clearance. Desirable Skills & Experience Familiarity with S3 storage, data storage technologies, and backup solutions. Experience with Windows, macOS, Linux shell administration, and HPe servers. Networking knowledge (TCP/IP) and basic scripting or programming skills. Skills in photography, videography, and managing large media files.
