Job summary We are seeking a dedicated and accomplished professional to manage the delivery of cardiac and respiratory physiology services in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. The successful applicant will lead a team of clinical physiologists and support staff to deliver services to the Pembrokeshire area. This includes staff management, service planning, policy development and resource management. They will work with senior management teams across the Health Board, sharing resources and delivering cohesive diagnostic services. They will provide expert knowledge and clinical leadership to physiologists and trainees at Withybush General Hospital, nurturing a learning environment that encourages personal development and innovation in practice. Main duties of the job Planning, developing, and delivering safe and effective diagnostic services. This will include supporting staff to develop their knowledge and skills to meet the demands of the service and needs of the population. Managing a team of clinical physiologists and support staff. Delivering all aspects of staff management and leadership in line with health board policy and health board core values. Working with cardiac diagnostic managers from each site to advise and support the development of cross site networks of knowledge, resources, and service delivery. Establishing good channels of communication and working relationships with medical, therapies, health science and nursing colleagues to deliver the health boards strategy. Managing the departments assets, ensuring equipment is maintained, and develop an equipment maintenance and replacement strategy. In addition to the main duties described in the job description the role requires the post holder to manage and deliver of echocardiography, rhythm management and respiratory diagnostics.
