Our client is one of the best-known manufacturing businesses across the country in their space. Due to a period of growth, we are looking to appoint a multiskilled maintenance engineer to join a well-established and dedicated team. If you're passionate about problem-solving, optimizing processes, and ensuring equipment runs smoothly, this could be the role for you.
The successful multiskilled maintenance engineer will maintain and improve a range of machinery from conveyors, wrappers, filling machines, and CNCs. You'll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, diagnosing faults and performing preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
2. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
3. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and repair machinery effectively.
4. Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
5. Install, test, and commission new machinery as required.
6. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records in line with company standards.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
2. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential.
3. Strong knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical fault-finding.
4. A team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
5. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, IOSH, or equivalent.
