Murphy are recruiting for a fully qualified Senior RTR Accountant, with post qualification experience to join our Finance Shared Service team at Stonecross.
In this role you will be responsible for providing support to the Financial, Operational and Commercial teams of the Murphy group of companies and Related Parties, to give an integrated and assured view of financial performance.
What you will be doing
* Conducting accounting activities relating to the maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger and management accounts.
* Processing information within the RTR area in line with Group Timetable and SSC SLAs.
* Delivering timely and accurate information to Group Finance, Head of Tax and Finance Business partners for external and internal reporting.
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support teams/people management.
* All queries, including audit queries.
* Performing other assigned General Ledger tasks of a routine nature under the direction of the RTR Manager.
* This role will be responsible for all Business Units (which will contain Joint Ventures) and Functional areas in the UK.
What we are looking for
* Qualified accountant with a progressive record of success.
* Possess strong analytical/planning skills, together with a strong accounting/control background.
* Demonstrable experience of working with a wide array of other functions at different levels – commercial, operations, marketing, IT, etc.
* Strong communication and influencing skills – able to network effectively with finance and operational management across the business in a variety of cultures.
* Proven experience of producing high quality written communications and presentations for senior management.
* Effective change agent with the ability to gain organisational buy-in and effectively accelerate and implement transformation plans.
* Strong intellect as well as ability to communicate at all levels, drive change, implement systems and work cross functionally.
