Have you ever supported young people with SEND or worked with vulnerable adults? Axcis Education is looking for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant for a role supporting students with ASD, SEMH, and Dyslexia at a mainstream secondary school in Swindon. The school has a very friendly atmosphere and a supportive environment and is well liked by all staff we have sent to them in the past.
Working hours for this role are between 8.15 to 3.15 and the daily rate of pay is £93.48.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementing behaviour support strategies to minimise challenging behaviours/disruption to the wider class.
2. Tailoring the classwork to suit each student’s individual abilities and needs.
3. Offering emotional support by being empathetic, understanding, and encouraging of the student’s work.
4. Collaborating with the teaching staff to work towards the student’s Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
Requirements:
1. A good level of spoken and written English.
2. A positive and can-do attitude.
3. Experience working with SEND.
4. Right to work in the UK.
5. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
