We currently have an opportunity for a Cleansing Operative to work within our Cleansing department working on small and large-diameter sewer cleaning projects including culverts and outfalls, based from our Highbridge depot working across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
As a Cleansing Operative, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Utilising high-pressure jetting equipment to clean and clear sewer lines and drainage systems.
* Operating specialist jetting machinery and tools with precision and care.
* Assessing and diagnosing blockages, obstructions, and drainage issues.
* Implementing appropriate jetting techniques to effectively resolve problems.
The position entails working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, being part of our client-centered 24/7 reactive service. This means that occasional participation in a call-out rota and willingness to work overtime will be essential, rewarded with enhanced overtime rates. Embracing a hands-on approach, this role demands both enthusiasm and flexibility, along with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
Holding qualifications such as a CSCS Card, Confined Space Entry & Streetworks and High-Pressure Water Jetting would be highly beneficial, however, full training will be provided if not held.
