As the Special Events Lead, you will be taking ownership of special events across SFC’s sites with the goal of demonstrating that St. Mary’s is more than just a football stadium. With revenue and profit at the forefront of the agenda, you will create a calendar that demonstrates year-round events at the stadium and SFC venues for the long term whilst testing and trying new events, which are key objectives. You will own the full events cycle from event idea to creation, sales and then delivery, working closely with key stakeholders within the business to ensure department objectives and KPIs are met. What will you be doing? This role will involve managing all sales of the special events at SFC, setting targets and creating sales plans whilst tracking all sales through a CRM system and creating weekly reports for the Head of Hospitality & Events. You will have the enthusiasm to generate your own list of key accounts, build current and new relationships and recognise opportunities to sell and upsell in order to maximise revenue. You will need to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within the business, ensuring all are fully briefed on each event to ensure the smooth running of events. You will be comfortable reviewing events including receiving feedback from clients and colleagues, producing a key learnings document. Is this you? This role will require the ability to work to tight deadlines and so time management skills will be essential. Other requirements include: Essential Qualifications & Experience Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience. Experience of working within the events industry, specifically on the curation and delivery of events. Comfortable in dealing with budget control. Experience in working with promoters within the music/entertainment industry. Excellent communication skills both face-to-face and on the phone. Management of large-scale events. Experience in managing a small team selling and delivering events.
