Contracts Manager (Asbestos / Demolition) Based at Head Office - South London Purpose of the role: The Contracts Manager will manage contracts placed into his care by the senior leadership team. The manager is to ensure compliance and quality is maintained throughout the contract. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are resourced adequately and supplied with the correct, plant, tools and equipment, materials and labour to carry out the contracts. The role will be a focus point in the business for all the team to deal with directly in matters relating to the contract. The role will also look to help reduce operational costs and increase productiveness across the contract. This role will work to support the commercial team with site visits, tender submission and technical method statements. This is a middle management role of the business. Main responsibilities: • Undertaking site visits for received tenders and site/works assessments. • Assist commercial teams in logging tenders and carrying out estimates on potential contracts. • Assist business development team with potential leads and making contact with potential clients. • Planning upcoming works and provision of suitable and sufficient SSOW to undertake contracts. • Allocation and management of adequate resources including labour, plant, tools, equipment and materials for contracts. • Overseeing and management of the contracts from start to finish • Ensure quality and management systems are maintained including regular audits of works regimes. • Inspections and audits of site operations with the site manager or supervisor • Organise and attend monthly safety meetings including setting out agendas and rectifying any actions following the meetings. • Assist H&S team in any incident or accident investigations and close out any corrective actions following such investigations. • Ensure Toolbox Talks and H&S topics are briefed to site teams. • Attend any site meetings requested by the client’s senior management team • Engage in any third-party liaison with regards to planning or the undertaking of contracts including mitigating any complaints made against the company • Ensuring Administration duties are carried out directly or using company resources where necessary. • Working on innovations and strategies with the board of directors and senior management to ensure organisation maintains good quality, safety and performance standards within the industry. • Duty management team (when required on call) • Cover for Site Managers or Project Managers as required • Administration duties for contracts in your custody Works closely with: Commercial Manager Senior Operations Manager Board of Directors Site Managers Site Supervisors Site Operatives
