Financial Reporting Systems Analyst Worcester based with a balance of home and office working £49,824 - £57,463 per year 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:00pm We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Systems Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis Team based at our head office in Worcester.The job sits within the Financial Reporting and Systems team which are responsible for creating reports to support management and statutory financial reporting requirements. A typical day will involve ensuring that the actual, plan and forecast data the finance teams consume is consistent and available when teams need it for reporting. The position will involve the evaluation of requirements and creation of reports that are compliant with accounting standards to solve key business problems. You will be a trusted point of escalation and support to resolve issues with reporting and financial data and will develop effective relationships with finance teams. Part time hours or job share would be considered. The role of Financial Reporting Systems Analyst will include: Lead Period End/Quarter End/Year End system activities and data integration to ensure completeness and timeliness of reporting and to analyse emerging issues Check and validate finance role requests and Master Data Requests Evaluate report request requirements and deliver solutions Support delivery of key business and finance projects Support the training and development of the wider finance team to make best use of the tools available Skills and experiences: Understanding of accounting principles and financial standards - ideally CIMA/ACA/ACCA q ualified /part qualified Experience in a problem solving role, with the ambition to resolve issues that arise Strong accounting knowledge and demonstrable experience in data extraction and reconciliation with an attention to detail Advanced Excel skills ideally including familiarity with Power Query Familiarity with star schema data models and the building of reports using BPC/SAC Understanding of SAP FI/CO modules Why work for us?
