Business Development Manager Salary 40k - OTE 20K must be able to travel to the office in SURREY 2 X A WEEK Key Responsibilities TheBusiness Development Manager role is a hunter/farmer position responsible for prospecting and identifying new business leads, pitching and building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients. As a BDM you'll be responsible for B2B sales, driving customer acquisition, and converting leads into sales across SME, National and Blue Chip customers. BDM’s are self-starters, highly ambitious, who deliver against target. Responsibilities include: Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services Regularly prospecting for new business via self-sourced and business leads - generating leads and cold calling prospective customers Driving new customer acquisition growth by making outbound calls to prospective businesses using CRM, seeking out appropriate contacts within the organisation Recording all information and tracking within CRM Meeting with customers/clients face to face or over the phone Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities Building future sales by managing a pipeline of prospects through customer relationship building and regular prospecting Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients Pitching Herd Synergy to new and existing clients Being the Herd Approved specialist - pitching for and assisting other BDM’s, albeit sales will be required across the HA, HB and HC spectrum Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying abreast of new trends Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching and exceeding them Possessing a strong understanding of the Herd’s solutions, the competition in the industry and positioning Being commercially aware and able to deliver profitable proposals that meet internal guidelines.
