Acre is rebuilding the UK’s £1.4 trillion mortgage market from the ground up, with a completely new, end-to-end management system for mortgages. After a record-breaking 2023 with a 400% year-on-year increase in mortgage volume, we have continued our momentum by doubling our market share in 2024. As we go into 2025, we are continuing to onboard some huge names in the mortgage industry and are looking to expand our team. Join our product development team to help us change the way people buy homes. The role: We are looking for a QA Software Tester who wants to be a part of a fast-growing startup that is transforming the way we buy homes. Your role will be to work closely with our scrum feature teams and the broader team to help deliver the best possible experience for our customers and the home buyers they serve. You will ensure the highest quality possible before we release our software to users. You will be a highly motivated problem solver, be technology agnostic, and be passionate and proud of the work you produce. Key Responsibilities: Learning about the mortgage market and how Mortgage Advisors and Administrators would use our platform to advise customers. Working with Product Management to turn their stories and their acceptance criteria into test cases. Running and reporting on test cases and sessions in an efficient and diligent manner. Regression testing before it gets shipped to production. Reproducing issues reported by end-users and producing clear reproduction steps and JIRA tickets to document the problem. Verifying resolution of closed issues and features. Being a champion of the end-user. About You: A strong attention to detail and critical thinking. A high level of IT literacy. The ability to work well as part of a team. Preferably you’ll have experience of working with financial software. Preferably you’ll have prior QA experience. What we offer: Chance to make an impact within a fully funded, early-stage Fintech start-up in a unique position to make a difference to the mortgage market. Competitive salary. Opportunity to earn grants from our EMI option scheme. One week of free accommodation for those relocating. Matched pension contribution up to 4%. Suite of healthcare benefits. Vibrant office in Shoreditch with monthly social events. We’re looking for people that will get stuck in and make a difference. We have a great collaborative, entrepreneurial team that are passionate about what they do. If you want to join a team that is tackling a big problem space, then we’d love to hear from you. We’re eager to receive applications from all backgrounds, including from people of colour, the LGBTQ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. If there’s anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know. Job Type: Full-time
