A globally renowned defence engineering consultancy are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge digital and analogue electronics for defence and electronic warfare applications. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that make a significant impact on national security and electronic warfare technology.
Due to the nature of the end client, you will need to hold DV clearance.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, simulate, and implement digital and analogue electronic circuits and systems tailored for electronic warfare applications and defence-related projects.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications, with a strong emphasis on electronic warfare requirements.
3. Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of digital and analogue designs, with a focus on optimizing electronic functionality.
4. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
5. Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to enhance project outcomes.
6. Document design specifications, test plans, and results for reference and compliance, with a focus on electronic warfare technology and capabilities.
Skills Required:
1. Ideally holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in digital and analogue electronic design.
3. Knowledge of analogue circuit design.
4. Knowledge/use of digital design tools (e.g., PCB CAD Spice simulation, HyperLynx signal integrity, Altium).
5. Experience with hardware verification and debugging techniques.
6. Familiarity with defence industry standards, security protocols, and electronic warfare principles is a significant advantage.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
