Principal Clinical Data Science Programmer - Office based - Swansea

The Principal Clinical Data Sciences Programmer uses technical, industrial, and interpersonal skills to program the clinical data management system (CDMS) and Non-CDMS components (including dynamic electronic case report form (eCRF) checks, edit checks, custom programs and integrations) and to develop and maintain programs required for handling external vendor data.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Actively participates in internal meetings and provides constructive feedback to peers, team leads and managers, and functional management.
2. Organises, creates, and oversees the administration of training and mentoring for junior levels.
3. Supports knowledge sharing within the peer group through presentations and preparation of training materials.
4. Development of materials for the bid defence process and client demonstrations.
5. Subject matter expert (SME) within at least two specific areas of the team, and lead teams of other SMEs.
6. Considered an expert in clinical trials, general function of CDMS, and EDC.
7. Support management in, and lead the development & implementation of departmental-wide initiatives.
8. Leads in all responsibilities of the role.
9. May independently supervise several individuals and deputise in place of the functional manager.
10. May assume direct line management of a limited number of personnel.
11. Able to work independently and in collaboration with CDS management to address client requests and escalations directly.
12. Accountable for the success of multiple clinical data delivery projects in accordance with established timelines, budget, quality standards and/or contractual requirements.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Solid knowledge of the requirements, capabilities, and limitations of at least one clinical data management system.
* Understands pharmaceutical environments and clinical data management system.
* Good written and oral communication and presentation skills.
