Procurement Officer Due to continued growth, my client based in Portadown are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team. This is a Full-Time, temporary position for initially three months (potential to be extended or made permanent). Hours 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. Early finish at 1:15pm on Fridays. Hybrid is offered with working from home 2 days per week. With a salary (dependent on experience). Job Role: You will be responsible for supporting the business by taking responsibility for the purchasing of indirect goods and services that support the overall operations of the business, as well as performing any necessary associated support activities. The Indirect Procurement Officer will serve the division's multiple sites, which are spread across different geographies within the UK, Ireland and Europe. Essential Criteria: Previous Purchasing or Procurement experience (either direct or indirect) IT proficient with the use and demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, SAP S4/Hana systems (preferable) Supplier management experience Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload with a high level of accuracy. Excellent organisational skills. Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Desirable Criteria: Hold a CIPs qualification Procurement tendering experience Main Duties and Responsibilities: Promptly convert indirect requisitions into indirect purchase orders within the set KPI time limit & issuing purchase orders to suppliers Act as a first point of contact for general indirect procurement queries for the Division Support the general business and requisitioner community in providing necessary training, helping them to understand the indirect procurement process and how to use the associated systems Generate, analyse, and present indirect spend reports for management review through use of excel (pivots, v-look-up, power point acumen required) Actively police compliance to the indirect procurement process, including ensuring only authorised requisitioners are submitting requests etc. Continually liaise with requisitioners to ensure a minimum standard of requisitions is met Assist requisitioners in following-up with supplier issues such as late delivery, PO management etc. Advise business on required indirect roles, accesses & delegation of authority Create indirect vendors on SAP Support the Indirect Procurement Category Manager with wider indirect procurement activities such as issuing RFQs, engaging in competitive tenders, negotiating and awarding contracts, as well as assisting in ethical souring compliance Identify, and act upon, process improvements within the indirect procurement cycle to enhance efficiency Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Indirect Procurement Category Manager Skills: procurement officer procurement procurement and purchasing
