Purpose of role and key accountabilities: To control the management of stocks inbound and outbound. Principal Accountabilities: • To locate into the Stores all finished parts which are passed, after final inspection. • To prepare kits of parts against work-to lists for customer orders and forward the kits to the Dispatch Department/Final Inspection prior to transfer to the customer. • To ensure that the layout and labelling of the Finished Parts stores is maintained in a professional and orderly manner. • To maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Stores area. • To ensure a high level of security is met at all times and Site Security protocols are adhered too. • To undertake perpetual inventory stock checks and ensure that stock levels tally with stock reports. • To stock pick items in conjunction with customer requirements. • To Goods Receipt all inbound deliveries including Raw Material • Fork Lift, Overhead Crane and Tug/Trailer operation • Maintain Hazard Spotting duties • To update and maintain PARAGON in line with operating procedures in undertaking the above duties. • Manage the loading of vehicles, completed stock and load bay areas. • Plan and schedule the delivery of goods and cargoes. • Identify & deliver operational cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives. • Ensure that project deadlines are met. • Ensuring that all set targets are achieved and attendance and participation at all scheduled SQCDP meetings. • Supporting other departments within the company when business needs require. • Resolving queries from internal and external customers Core skills/attributes needed: • Ability to manage a number of projects and initiatives simultaneously • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise • Attention to detail • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision • Excellent IT Skills
