Job summary Experienced Medical Secretary required for busy GP practice, caring for over 15,600 patients. Part-Time - 24 Hours per week Wednesday to Friday 5 Weeks Annual Leave (pro-rata) Bank Holidays 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract - to cover Maternity Leave Main duties of the job General secretarial duties: Typing support to the clinicians, management, etc, via audio dictation and tasks: Referrals General correspondence Clinical correspondence Patient letters and reports Responding to enquiries from patients, practice staff and external agencies via tasks, telephone, letters, etc Liaising with external service providers and agencies as required Accurate and timely updating of information in patients' records Accurate and timely processing of all tasks Accurate and timely processing of emails Patient referrals: Quality checking of referral forms for accuracy Completion of additional forms required, ie funding, etc. Processing referrals via ERS and email Processing of Two Week Wait referrals within the designated timescales Accurate coding of referrals Timely and accurate processing of correspondence including Document Inbox About us Marfleet Group Practice is a busy, forward thinking, friendly practice with over 15,600 patients. The practice has two sites, Preston Road and Middlesex Road. We have a team of GPs, Clinical Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants plus a team of non-clinical Admin and Reception staff. We are also a teaching practice so have Registrars training at the practice.
