About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in road safety by delivering products which improve riding and driving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in project managing learning and development or education and training products.
The purpose of this role is to support the UK’s leading road safety charity IAM RoadSmart’s transformation and develop products that align with our strategy. This will deliver new on and off-road courses that will contribute to reducing deaths and injuries on our road network, supporting our members, increasing appeal to new members and commercial partnerships.
Key responsibilities
1. Support planning and discovery stages of product development prior to project approval.
2. For products in flight, create and maintain all schedules and budgets for individual products (and support managing the delivery of the product roadmap and departmental budget). Handle and manage any project scope, cost, or timeline changes.
3. Ensure that all new products are set up on the internal systems correctly and ready for launch.
4. Lead the research, procurement, and due diligence into finding suitable solutions, suppliers, and vendors to resource the project in the most suitable and cost-effective way.
5. Support and seek out efforts for continuous improvement of product development processes to ensure all activities offer value to IAM RoadSmart.
6. Provide post-product launch support to the Operations Team with any customer issues or complaints to ensure satisfactory completion of courses or assessments.
7. Support the Product Development Team with tracking product success and maintain product data accuracy in internal systems and update product records as required.
About you
1. You will have experience managing the delivery of high-quality learning products for educational and/or training programmes.
2. Managing the budgets and schedules of multiple complex projects, ideally within both face-to-face and online or digital learning products, and have experience working on large-scale complex products with multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
3. The ability to influence and manage stakeholders not reporting to the job holder, along with awareness of commercial aspects of product development including managing budgets, assessing opportunities, product profitability, and measuring product success. You will need to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
4. High levels of self-motivation and self-organisation; an ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks and the ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
