The Role Join James Fisher as our Group PMO Lead and take charge of the continued implementation of the PMO Governance Framework across the organisation. Your role will focus on standardising key elements of the project delivery life cycle, including the tendering process, project execution, contracts administration, and lessons learned. This is essential for ensuring robust risk and opportunity management, effective contract administration, maximising profitability, improving cash flow, and efficient resource management. You'll be implementing a group-wide PMO Framework that aligns with project management best practices and integrates seamlessly into both group and divisional processes. Role Responsibilities Ensure the Group PMO Framework meets Group and Divisional requirements. Oversee the delivery of all integrated turnkey projects, ensuring compliance and standardisation with the company's project delivery procedure and the associated key metrics. Liaise with Divisional Commercial leads to define PMO expectations and deliverables in Sales and Tendering procedures. Participate in relevant Stage Gate reviews, including those in the Tendering phase. Monitor compliance with the divisional Delegation of Authority. Administer commercial risk management and allocate contingency on complex projects. Optimise Group asset utilisation and oversee the deployment of PMO resources. Promote collaboration across divisional product lines to maximise financial KPIs. Support Group IT with the implementation of divisional software for Bid Management and Project Delivery. Track and monitor the competency and utilisation of all Group PMO resources. In addition, effective group asset management is crucial, involving the consolidation and implementation of standard asset management databases, coordinated maintenance regimes to exploit synergies across product lines, and divisional asset tracking to maximise utilisation and minimise third-party rentals. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of Project Delivery processes, including contract administration, variation order management, risk and opportunity management, and P&L optimisation. PMP Certification is a plus. Experience: Extensive experience in project and resource management in Aerospace, Defence or Energy industries. Preferably international. Proven track record in a similar role. Ability to coordinate and support multiple projects simultaneously. Skilled in meeting tight deadlines while balancing important but less urgent tasks. Experience in project budgeting and cost management. Proficient in identifying, analysing, and mitigating project risks. Proficient with MS 365 suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Planner/Project Bookings). Skills: Effective leadership and senior-level management abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Pragmatic problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to build relationships within James Fisher Group. Organised, meticulous, and detail-oriented Highly flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities or project scopes.
