We are looking for experienced and committed Healthcare Assistants with an interactive approach, who are eager to enhance their skills in the complex care sector.
You will need to be passionate about delivering the highest quality care to our service users, building positive relationships with them and their family whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own home.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a cheerful and content gentleman in his 30’s who resides in a nursing home based in Ashton-Under-Lyne and requires support on a 1:1 basis throughout the night to support his complex care needs.
He is a very charismatic gentleman who loves to spend time with his family and care team, he enjoys the interaction, and loves having a banter.
He enjoys watching his favourite T.V programmes along with animated DVDS, and throughout the day he loves to access the community, going shopping and simply being out and about.
Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, repositioning, making close observations and attending to his clinical care needs when required. Should he awake, you will offer reassurance to promote a restful environment for our service user.
He is unable to communicate verbally and will use facial expressions and sounds to make his wants and needs known. To avoid him becoming distressed of frustrated, you will spend time to get to know his unique signals and cues.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience with the following
1. 3 months previous care experience
2. Personal Care
3. Moving and Handling
4. Medication Administration
Experience working with the following clinical needs is desirable, however is not essential to be considered for this role
5. Epilepsy Management
6. Nebuliser care
7. Ventilation management
8. Gastrostomy feeds (PEG)
We have the following shifts available;
9. Part Time Nights available 2 shifts per week
10. 7:00pm - 7:00am
11. Alternate weekends are needed for this position

12. Weeknights: £13.50 per hour (Approx. £162 per 12-hour shift)
13. Weekends: £14.00 per hour (Approx. £168 per 12-hour shift)
14. Bank Holiday: £17.00ph (Approx. £204 per 12-hour shift)
