Your role:
This newly created role is in a dynamic position at the heart of the council’s agenda for growth and regeneration. Your focus will be on ensuring that the council has the right transport evidence and proposals in place to capitalise on new government investment under the Single Settlement for Greater Manchester. You will work closely with colleagues across the council, and with TfGM, other transport providers and appointed consultants.
About you:
You are an effective and proven transport planner who is highly motivated, organised, and enthusiastic about transport planning and its application to place-making and regeneration, with a passion to deliver effective and responsive transport evidence that is meaningful and responsive to everyone living, working and visiting Wigan Borough.
You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability and confidence to work well in partnership and collaboratively on highly complex matters, with other disciplines within the council and across organisational boundaries, to advance the borough’s transport priorities.
