Our client, a distinguished player in the water industry, is currently seeking a skilled Regional Generator Engineer to join their team in Cumbria. This permanent position involves servicing and maintaining stage V generators, MDU/AMF panels, and associated equipment on a regional basis. Your mechanical and electrical skills will be integral to ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems within the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring full operational functionality of generators, diesel tanks, distribution, cabling, and associated ancillaries
Reducing backlogs of non-RFH equipment at depots
Undertaking major repairs and refurbishments
Keeping up-to-date with servicing schedules both on-site and at the depot
Diagnosing faults and maintaining stage V generators and MDU/AMF panels
Checking and tagging all equipment, updating service records
Adhering to the lock out tag-out process
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety rules and maintaining safe working practices
Job Requirements:
Experience in servicing, maintaining, installing, and repairing diesel-driven products
Competency in both mechanical and electrical disciplines
Ability to travel and complete overnight stays when necessary
Proven proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of generator equipment
Knowledge of products and accessory ranges
Flexible attitude to adapt to changing regional needs
Valid driving licence
Preferable C & G/CITB/NVQ qualification and knowledge of 19th Edition regulations
