Job Description NATS is the UK’s leading air navigation service provider, handling over 2 million flights each year. Job Purpose: The Senior Project Manager based will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects within a Programme/Portfolio of contracts as assigned by Programme Manager. You will develop fully costed, resourced and deliverable plans throughout the full project lifecycle from bid through to delivery and project closure, whilst achieving and improving financial performance (incl. revenue and margin), quality, timescales, and customer satisfaction, whilst managing issues, risks, and opportunities. Whilst the role will be based in the UK it may involve international travel and flexible working. Other duties include: Capable of project manage the delivery of multiple complex and major projects Manage internal resource, partners/suppliers and/or sub-contractors Represent NATS to the customer and internal/external project stakeholders, ensuring solution is delivered to all performance targets Lead project mobilisation, project planning and scheduling, tracking of milestones, tracking and management of project requirements, tracking and management of the project critical path, risk (threats and opportunities), issue management, project finances, and change management Developing and managing a competitive plan for higher value/higher risk or strategically important bids Identifying appropriate business intelligence and communicating to relevant NATS Commercial Teams (e.g. Business Development, Account Managers) Developing, maintaining, and applying quality management processes for project activities including deliverables, issues and decisions and outputs considering lessons learning Identifying areas of improvement by reviewing and providing continuous feedback Providing recommendations to improve delivery of bids, projects and product improvement and become a specialist in one or more areas for project management expertise Essential skills and experience: Relevant qualification at degree level or equivalent, with evidence of continuing professional development Qualified APM-PPQ in project management with preferably MAPM Proven background Project Managing complex, or major projects Understanding of complex contracts, compliance and managing variances Excellent communicator with good analytical and conceptual reasoning Deep knowledge of NATS Services Approvals and Project Lifecycle processes (Desirable) Good commercial awareness, demonstrating clear leadership, strong negotiation, and conflict resolution Demonstrable resilience and highly developed competence in situational awareness and leadership Good understanding of developing trends in the ATM market and related technologies Able to work with customers directly and influence requirements and decision making to align with NATS objectives and solutions Additional Vacancy information: We are proud to offer a fantastic total reward package to help you thrive both personally and professionally - for more information on what NATS can offer you please visit Why NATS? - NATS We have adopted agile working to provide greater flexibility and increased choice over working arrangements, with the opportunity for this role to work in our modern office facilities as well as remotely.
