The post involves working as part of a busy team teaching a range of undergraduate and postgraduate international students to support their academic courses and language development.,
* Planning, preparing and delivering English language / EAP classes for monolingual and multilingual groups (either face-to-face or online).
* Monitoring individual progress and development of English language skills and providing additional support through one-to-one support (either face-to-face or online).
* Setting and marking self-study materials and providing regular feedback.
* Maintenance of records of work/attendance as appropriate.
* Liaising with academic staff on issues arising with individual student progress.
* Attending regular staff meetings (either face-to-face or online).
First degree and suitable Level 7 teaching qualification: Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) or equivalent.
* Substantial experience of teaching academic English and study skills for H.E.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and cross-cultural competency.
* Demonstrate good planning and organisational skills to manage the workload, the confidence to take the initiative and work autonomously, and the ability to work under pressure.
