Credit Control Manager International Law Firm Bristol based, hybrid working Are you an experienced Credit Control Manager with a proven track record of success in professional services? We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking a talented Credit Control Manager to oversee and optimise the firm's credit management processes. The credit control manager will be responsible for managing a team of 10 credit controllers across two of the firm’s UK offices and acting as a key point of escalation for their credit control team in Asia. The finance department is responsible for managing the firm's financial health. We have a presence in all offices and our teams cover the following areas: Cashiering : Handling incoming and outcoming payments including client funds and vendor invoices. Billing : Preparing and issuing invoices. Working with matter teams to help them manage their WIP. Credit control : Working to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments from clients. Payroll : Processing employee payroll including calculating wages, deductions and taxes. Processing employee expense claims. Management Information : Providing financial reports and analysis to the firm's management team. Preparation and audit of statutory accounts. The Role: As Credit Control Manager, you will: Lead and manage the credit control team, ensuring high performance and consistent delivery of objectives. Develop and implement effective credit control strategies to optimise cash flow and reduce aged debt. Monitor and report on debtor balances, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to facilitate smooth payment processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency. About You: To succeed in this role, you will have: Substantial experience in credit control, including managing a team, ideally within an international law firm or professional services environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on results. A deep understanding of financial systems and credit management tools. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive, organised, and strategic mindset.
