We are looking for an individual who have passion and drive to deliver high quality individualised patient care. As the Neuro-Oncology - Specialist Nurse, you will contribute to the provision of expert nursing care for patients and their families with Brain and Central Nervous System (CNS) tumours and Base of Skull (BoS) tumours Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be core members of the specialist Brain and CNS and Base of Skull Tumour MDT and will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will work across the Trust linking closely with other professionals in providing specialist nursing care and advice to patients and clinical colleagues. You will contribute to expert clinical practice, multi-professional education, clinical audit and service development. The post holder will have the opportunity to positively influence care for Brain and CNS/BoS patients and their families. Applicants must have significant post registration experience; they must have additional experience within cancer care, palliative care or neurosciences, they will have a relevant first degree and show evidence of working at level 7. This is a challenging and demanding role and requires a proactive, self-motivated, dedicated person who is capable of managing a highly complex care pathway across multiple agencies and services to ensure the highest quality of care and service delivery for all patients. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to manage your own work load and have problem solving skills. You will be an excellent team player but equally be able to work independently.
