Job Title: Support Worker - Young Adults
Location: Meldreth, Hertfordshire
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (linked to competency and qualifications) PLUS £1500 Welcome bonus*
Annual Salary: £24,375 - £26,582 per year for a 40 hour week
Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time hours available, minimum 24hrs per week)
Training: Full training provided, and once passed probation, we will support and fund studying the Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care

Set within 14 acres, this provision offers a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. With specialist facilities and a focus on promoting independence, we support each of our young people through the transition from education into adulthood.
The Role:
As a support worker, you will be highly involved in personal care, supporting our young people with all aspects of personal hygiene including toileting, dressing, and maintaining their personal appearance. You will also assist with their medical needs and help with therapies such as rebound therapy or hydrotherapy in our newly renovated pool. Additional facilities include sensory gardens, a skills center, forestry school, and rooms dedicated to art, music, and more.
Independence is promoted wherever possible, and the adults will often run their own days with activities they enjoy, such as participating in the site's enterprise scheme, going on shopping trips, taking part in forestry lessons, or even visiting the pub.
Duties will vary; you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever required.
Although no experience is required, we are looking for candidates to demonstrate:

* Creativity in meeting the needs of the young adults
* Ability to work on a rota pattern, which will include working every other weekend
