Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the clinical research industry and will be responsible for driving growth, developing new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships. This is a key leadership role that will contribute significantly to the strategic direction and success of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals. Identify and prioritise target markets and clients.
2. Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their clinical research requirements.
3. Sales and Marketing:
Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing materials and campaigns.
4. Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities. Analyse data to inform business development strategies and decision-making.
5. Collaboration and Leadership:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and project management, to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior business development staff.
6. Contract Management:
Oversee the development, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Performance Metrics:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of business development initiatives. Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development activities and outcomes.
