An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Cellular Pathology, NHS Fife. We are recruiting an Advanced Practitioner (Biomedical Scientist) in histological dissection who will work alongside Consultant Histopathologists dissecting specimens following competencies defined by the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath).
You will be expected to have extensive post HCPC registration experience, an MSc or equivalent, hold the IBMS/RCPath Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection and be willing to complete the Advanced Specialist Diploma in Histological dissection.
The applicant will also have proven experience supervising, training and outstanding communication skills, as well as a clear understanding of UKAS ISO:15189 accreditation standards.
The Department holds UKAS ISO 15189 accreditation and is an approved IBMS training laboratory.
